Dave boosts Magpie women

MONT reserves defender Dave Di Carlo has been appointed coach of the Magpies' female expansion team
for 2019.
Di Carlo, who helped with the senior women's program this year, will be an integral part of the Mont female
program. He will guide the club's second senior women's team, complementing the work of senior women's
coach Warren Harris.
Team manager Gail Blythe believes Di Carlo is an ideal fit to lead the women’s expansion team.
"He brings great enthusiasm and drive to the position, traits which are beautifully complemented with sound
football experience and knowledge,'' Blythe says.
"Di Carlo (pictured above middle, with senior women's coach Warren Harris and team manager Gail Blythe)
is a former Montmorency Junior Football Club graduate who has spent many years in the NFNL,
playing at Watsonia and Heidelberg West. He returned to play with the Magpies in 2018 and was a key
contributor to the MFNC reserves season which culminated with a spot in the finals. David was also
an active member of the 2018 MFNC women’s program and his progression to coach is a logical step in
the exciting expansion of our female program. On behalf of everyone at Magpieland we congratulate
David on his appointment and wish him all the very best for a prosperous and enjoyable 2019 season.''
