IN what was essentially a dead rubber, the black and white brigade (seniors) took it right
up to Heidelberg at Warringal Park in a round 18 NFNL clash.
The boys didn't get the chocolates but kept on coming until the final siren in what was a fast,
free-flowing game played in glorious sunshine. The two Bens - Walton and Kennedy - were prime movers
while Paddy Fitz was a reliable target up forward. Potts and Michael Fitz-Gerald gave their all in the backline.
They almost got us over the line. However it was not to be, with Mont going down by five points.
Still there were plenty of good signs going into 2019 after what has been a frustrating and underachieving
We now look forward to the reserves and under 19s contesting this year's finals series. We will keep all
the Mont fans posted in the coming weeks.
